Our last stop before lunch was a traditional Turkish Carpet house. This was not just a shop, this was a factory that was recognised by the Turkish Minister of Culture as iconic. This place employed women who were classified Master Weavers and every carpet was hand-woven. Not one of the 50,000 carpets in this building was machine-made.
