We spent the morning all excitable about our much hyped visit to the Maokong gondola to sample some of Taiwanese finest teas, visit a temple and the zoo. We got up eagerly and took the bus for the first time to the metro. On the ride to Tapei Zoo station we were getting ourselves all excited for the day, not even put off by the rain, only to find once we arrived that the gondola was shut and will be until 19th of May.
