Train was nice,but no seats left-we ride standing for an hour along with lots of other non complaining Turks. Dinner at the Wallabies hotel, and our first "Bloody Hell?!" moment, when we met Amanda, who went to swimming lessons with Alex Smith when he was just a young lad, blonde, broad shouldered and with large feet. But he was a lazy student, apparently! Had he grown into the size of his feet? Yes , Amanda, he was a fine specimen, and teaching at the same School as I. Another intriguing moment in Turkey. ... John came to Ephesus several times with Mary and spent his last years hear writing his gospel. A monumental tomb was made for him here in the 3rd or 4th century and later a basilica and a church were built around it. There are also some nice views of the country side from the site of the ruins.

We then had supper at a nice local restaurant and went to our hotel to watch a movie and relax.

... by swarms of energetic mud wasps (ok, that part wasn't really too cool), and a large group of frogs in the pond were... according to me... busy re-enacting the siege of Troy.
