... we have roads like that in BC. It twists and turns and winds back and forth until it kinks around a rock where you literally can’t go more than 20 kph. My uncle told me later he drove that road when it was one lane around that corner and there were no barriers. I can’t imagine it!

And the backdrop was absolutely stunning. I guess it takes a certain kind of landscape to grow grapes, because Argentina was very similar. Clear skies, and tall mountains, with vines stretching up both sides of valleys. Very cool to look ...
... Canada's wine district (did anyone else know Canada made wine?) and so we figured it was our best chance to get a good campsite for the night. Boy were we wrong. Osoyoos turned out to be Canada's equivalent of Florida. Full of condos, trailer parks and cheesy hotels. So this obviously meant everything was either overbooked, overpriced or like every campsite we found, just plain ugly. So we settled for the least cheesy of the ...
... the earth. The area had the feel of the Greek Isles...hot, dry but fertile and scenic with the sun's rays glistening off of the pearly blue lake water. Boaters and swimmers peppered the water and sunned themselves on the few sandy beaches I saw. Signs advertising wineries were on every block. And there were several luxury golf courses with beautiful entrances.

3.34 - Grand Forks stop off and got the best ice cream in BC, Banana Chocolate Fudge, yummy. Then leaving town spotted dear on the local field.
4.45 - Greenwood
5.10 - Kettle River
5.46 - Osoyoos - our home for the night. Can see a US town across the river. It's now 35 degrees.
