My appreciation for normal weeks grows every day

... we've gotten some odd looks) and finding free, weird things to attend (presentations about gypsies in film). Also a random sampling of street vendors, and a fair amount of window shopping (something that Spaniards have mastered...and it's no wonder...with siesta in there they don't have that much time to actually shop IN the store).

I uploaded new pictures from Facebook from our girls night on Thursday. :)
The Magical Kingdom of Segovia

... I always assume that if I take a train to a destination it will drop me off directly in front of the main attraction. So I walked over to a bus stop to see if I could find a map. An older couple and their daughter also stood there trying to figure out where to go. It took me a second to realize they were speaking English not Spanish. Normally when I hear American tourists I avoid them but they seemed nice and possibly able to help me get to the ...

Halloween in Spain....a full week of......thrills

... Basically, fun times in Spain this week. Interestingly enough, this story has apparently already reached Wisconsin in full...as one of my friends told me that I was discussed during the Orientation to Study Abroad class on saturday, as well as in the International studies office. This whole thing should hopefully be the source of a few interesting stories when I get home.
---------------

Uploade d a few pictures from Facebook of Ireland and Halloween
Forest! See ya soon!

This stage has no difficulties, the landscapes begin to change, we left the woods behind us and we begin to see beatiful fields til we reach our destination.

In Los Arcos I don't recommend the main refuge... when we were there we saw lots of bugs, an unpleasant smell, a small kitchen... the village is not very impressive but the main church (worth to see)
Drinking with the Aussies

... cheap spanish beer, jager shots, and tequila shots (sorry mom, nana, etc). That was pretty much all that happened today other than I realized I forgot my towel in England, and someone stole one of my shirts I was drying out. At this rate I´m not going to have anything left in a few weeks.

End of 24 hour bus ride

... kronenbourg beer starting at around 10 am, making fun of the french at a rest stop around Paris (only saw the eiffel tower for about 4.5 seconds), but the best part by far was when we got into Spain I saw the sunrise over the Pyrennes mountains. Spain is much more beautiful than I have ever imagined and the people are really friendly. On to the next entry...

Burgos

... and provided a concrete image to what I´ve read before. After we left the cathedral we went to lunch...which was fantastic, that is after I threw away the sandwich mi madre española made for me. It was a horrible sandwich...eggs. We have been having a different kind of cooked egg something everyday. Everyday at at least one meal we have eggs. Since I am not an egg fan, I couldn´t take it anymore...so I tossed it and got paella, roast chicken, and bread. The ...
