... is the best one so far. I had vegetable stew, which was a lovely mixture of green beans, potato and asparagus. White wine today and the usual crusty fresh bread. ... but satisfying nevertheless! The day begins with a bus trip to the city of Osma, where Dominic, as a young man, became a canon. Much of the Cathedral has been rebuilt over the years, so not all of it dates from Dominic's time. This morning was spent exploring the beautiful city of Salamanca. We visited the two cathedrals, the Dominican monastery and the enclosed Dominican convent, established by wealthy widows in 15th century. Once again the weather is perfect, so walking the streets is a pleasure.
