We were up early to embark on a walking tour of the city with our new travel buddies, Mark and Helen, and jumped in a taxi to the offices of Carpe Diem who were giving the tour. En route, I managed to speak enough pigeon Spanish to the driver to keep us entertained for the short ride into the city centre, passing by numerous monuments that he enthusiastically pointed out to us - the hospital his son was born in, the central local market and the mountains surrounding the ...

Didn't have work as CEC still owed me the two hours and the trip to Manabi got cancelled like I kind of suspected. Oh well. Had a good alternative come up and this way I can go to the party with my coworkers tomorrow.  While having breakfast with Leo, we discovered a rock symphony concert tonight. We want to stay here and look what happens, even try to get a glimpse of the pope if ...

... trip, it's hard to tell if I'm different, or, like most travelers would say, "I found myself." What I do know is the relationships I've built will be ever-last, as will the memories. Being away from home, makes me appreciate my family friends and place more than ever. However, as my last words, I want those whom traveled with me to know: I love you. Thank you for not just being there, but for investing your focus and time into everyday and moment. What made our trip so beautiful was ...

... an egg up on a nail (not that either of us were able to become "egg masters"). Since its the point of the earth rotating the fastest, the effects of gravity are lessened. We also learned about the ancient people from the area: how the built their homes, buried their dead and shrunk heads. The idea behind shrinking heads was that all the knowledge that person had would stay with that person - clearly the notion that knowledge is power is not a new ...
