    ... There were a few small towns along the way, but mostly it was just mountains and the river. Everything was very beautiful. We even saw a mule deer at the side of the road. Luckily when it saw us it ran away from the road and not into the road. We stopped several times at scenic turnouts to take pictures, but mostly we travelled along enjoying the ride.     ... They were hatching the eggs and growing these very small fish... Steelhead Salmon. They produced about 1.5 million a year. Great place to stop. We passed through some really quaint little towns along the way. We saw a creamery so you know we had to stop to have a scoop... or two. I saw something I hadn't seen for quite some time. They were selling milk in glass jars. Brought back some childhood memories.

    ... was about 10 minutes of winding, curving uphill (with barriers) and 10 more of the same going down. The engine was 'cool' with it, as it should be, but I'm sure my BP spiked considerably.

    Next stop was Ketchum which serves Sun Valley. Some very expensive homes ...

    ... at the time as the rantings of a mad man in decline. It has since been revealed via the Freedom of Information act that he was in fact being monitored by Hoover's FBI organisation, who knows whether this was what tipped him over the edge and was a factor in his severe writers block, which is oft credited as the motive for his suicide....sad ending either way.
