    ... the border and the land mines were placed on the Burmese side to keep them out. Decades later they remain there as the Burmese government isn't stable enough to clear them out. Most patients cross the border from Myanmar (Burma). About 40% are migrant workers from the area. Almost all of them speak Burmese so my Thai has been rendered useless. Graphic content below.     im meeting people... went to the local hotel lobby... nobody there...
    passed one big foreigner guy - looked in his 40s..
    thers no foreigneers in "Tak" - except peace core! wtf... probably a pedophile..??

    ... finally find one the owner was trying to put us off renting it. Crazy! We rode to the border where we could see the friendship bridge separating Burma and Thailand which was extremely boring. We also saw the illegal bridge underneath the bridge where people can walk straight over into Burma and back which was pretty interesting.
