... in the UK but still very good. Decided on chicken fried rice for supper so did a bit of preparation so just need to thro the ingredients together into the wok later. It was a long day going from Muscat to Larnaca (Cyprus). I caught the bus back to Dubai at 3pm; then, after arriving in Dubai at 10, the metro to the airport; then waited for my flight which left at 6.30am. A long wait, but just not worth getting accommodation in Dubai. I arrived in Larnaca about 11 after an in-transit stop in Doha for 1.5 hours. (with a time difference of an hour). ... or at least, the Old City surrounded by its unique 16th century Venetian walls...was a different story. It was a hot day (over 30 degrees) and we were getting tired, but we found the Old City dirty and dilapidated, and actually felt unsafe walking some of its lonely narrow streets.
