    ... think the town of Beppu will be next. Beppu is the Onsen (hot springs) hot spot of Japan. I do have to say that having internet through a pocket wi-fi device makes a big difference in foreign travel. We are able to book our hotels and get information very easily.     ... area was to see Yodohime Shrine, which was founded in the 6th century and is one of the two chief shrines in the Saga prefecture. There was no English at all at the site, so we have no idea what was original. I will say it was an old wooden structure and it looked ancient. It is built at the side of a river and it was an extremely peaceful area.
