From Sungai Kolok train station I walked for 1 km to reach the Malaysian border.

One of the easiest border crossing I went through: within 10min I had my exit stamp from Thailand (I arrived on the day my visa was expiring) and a 90 day visa for Malaysia. I crossed the Harmony bridge and took a bus to Kota Bharu my next destination.

This blog is purely for those after some up-to-date information about crossing the Border into Malaysia from Thailand at Sungai Kolok, so will be of little interest to family and friends at home. From the train station in Sungai Kolok you can catch a tuk tuk at 40-50 Bhatt per person to the border. The border is identified by a river and the crossing is a bridge over the river; Thai customs on one side, Malay customs on the other. There were no scams ...
