        ... on my first day to Tochigi. However, on that ride, I went through at dusk and there wasn't much to see. I looked for a restaurant at the nearest town to the lake and found a couple that looked interesting. I do this by looking for the restaurant symbols on Google Maps and checking them out on street view. I have no idea what the Japanese characters on the restaurant signs mean other than the odd hiragana or katakana which has helped me find ramen restaurants. It's very ...

        ... of the Kanto plain which comprises Greater Tokyo, home to about 35 million people, it takes about 5 to 6 km to get to the countryside. As I said the other day, Iiyama was a perfect experience and it may be sometime before I feel that way again. I may have been spoiled for life and nothing else will compare.

        Tomorrow will also be the final ride of my tour before I return to Tokyo on Sunday and get ready to fly back.

        ... a trek.

        I'm sometimes surprised at how your legs can push down on the pedals for thousands of revolutions during a long ride, especially when you're going uphill. You would think that your muscles would fatigue and give out, like when you're doing squats at the gym, even with a relatively light weight.         ... enticing taste to what is beyond the turnstile.
        Entry is a mere 1300 yen (AUD $13) .. and the park is open till 6pm at night.
        The entire park covers an area of approx 22 acres.. that's a lot of watering to do!
