The Drive - honk. Honk honk honk. HOOOOONK

A travel blog entry by lab99

The drive from Amritsar to Chandigarh is a 250 km drive and it took us about 5 hours to get there. Why so long? Well there is not a lot of national highways along the way so it does get congested along the way. Kind of like the Gold Coast highway back when it was only 1 and 2 lanes.

A few people told us Indians drive with their horns …

Wedding Ceremony

A travel blog entry by micmorris

6:30am, Nov 30, Amritsar. The wedding was absolutely amazing! I hope you guys were able to watch it live as well. More apologies for the delay between updates, it's all been very hectic since I got to Ankush's place. Our train was going to Phagwara, Punjab and the journey was about 3.5 hours. During the train journey, I could just see the filth of India out my window. There was litter everywhere, people were taking dumps wherever, and the rivers looked dirty. I wasn't really shocked because I heard so much ...

Heart of Punjab

A travel blog entry by rtwma

We made it to our final destination in Punjab: Bathinda. We visited a lot of family here also and it was amazing that in one place, 5 generations of our family lived there. We really enjoyed spending time with family and had a party one evening to meet everyone.

We also attended the opening of a computer room of a school for poor children ...
