... calligraphy, bamboo fans of various sorts, furniture from the 1900s, silk embroidery, ivory and bone carving (and we think that ivory carving may still be going on here - couldn't get a straight answer to the questions - can't be taken out of the country without permission from the government) and clay figures from Mao's time with lots of Communist themes but really well worked - faces on figures very expressive. ... with some absolutely stunning fish in tanks and bags. Worth the walk to see everything else going on, and I think we may go back. I have promised martin a trip up electronics street ;)

So we trek back to the hotel for a rest, we haven't quite shrugged off the jet lag and we have by hook, crook and daftness done an awful lot of walking today notwithstanding being attacked by a purple minion! We did go out again, and that will be continued tomorrow ........

... skyline, it's incredible how they build the skyscrapers up here on such an angle. After the 20minute climb we are at the top. The views are amazing, it's still early and light but we have come for a few hours to watch the day turn to night and the Hong Kong skyline transform. ... its small but it is where visiting dignitaries from the UK landed in Hong Kong and has a Torquay feel to the promenade. We reached the Hong Kong Peak by bus as well, the views were breathtaking.

Up at 6:30, packed, left, walked to monorail station and arrived at the airport just before 8:45am.We checked in, went through security, immigration and bought breakfast.Hopped on the plane and wrote my diary. Now I'm up to date I'll have a nap.
