attendants I was informed that the plane stops in Tokyo but then goes on to
Taiwan where I would make my transfer to the plane to Bangkok. Hahahaha. My
heart fell back to a resting rate and my nerves were calmed. What an experience
that would have been if I would have gotten on the wrong plane. So I now am writing from the international
airport in Tokyo, Japan (NARITA). We’ll see where I end up on my next flight.

... take a huge detour almost to the northern point of the island before going south along the east coast. It's not such a chore though - after turning south the train line hugs the coastline the whole way to Ilan.
