The Summer Palace was free since my program paid for our tickets. When we first walked in, I was amazed by the beautiful lake and the huge ducky in it. The story behind the ducky was China was shipping some manufactured duck toys to other countries. However, the ship sank and the ducks floated up. Then the duck became a symbol of perseverance.

Good location reasonably close to centre. Breakfast was very good- plenty of choices. Room spacious & well equipped but not that quite (even on 6th floor)
