        ... we think of but it is my viewpoint that China is still very much a third world country. Even our tour guide told us that some people who do have money still do not have manners – they are "ignorant" to the ways of the western world yet they buy Iphones and the latest cars but they spit in the cars and smoke in the cars and they treat women badly and push in lines, etc. Frankly, even if our tour guide had not discussed so much of this in detail, just driving from one attraction ...

        The afternoon was our time to relax with lectures on both acupuncture and the history of the Yangtze River. I have to comment that despite some earlier doubt, the food was excellent and our private table in the dining room afforded us with excellent views as we ate.         ... so she proceeded to turn the heat down a bit and just load the pots with the food and leaving us to fish it out again with the ladle. The fish were small but other than no heads were whole, including bones.
