... tour of the water town was very interesting - a Chinese version of Venice (complete with 'gondolas'). There are lots of narrow alleyways (with a souvenir shop or eatery in every available space). ... to convey our concern to the front desk brought us a great deal of enjoyment.

We enjoyed our last dinner at the hotel in Kunshan (no dumplings though :( )

Our Chinese friends took us to a rock music club to celebrate our last night.

It was really empty when we got there at 7:30, but after about half an hour it was packed.

The band went on at 9:30 and the singer joked about never performing for this many foreigners.
