... airport arrivals area now has a few nice coffee shops where one can get a sandwich or noodles and a decent beer.

We got a great taxi rider that took us directly to CIYH, in about 30 minutes from airport departure. CIYH wasn’t as bustling as in the past and the English level of staff was noticeably lower. Still, they provided a nice accommodation at a nice price and we enjoyed our 3 nights there. Vennie hooked up with us and so on Saturday Tom ...

... bar and grill type place on the B1 level, and found it again ordering a nice Stella Artois beer and chatted with the delightful medical student summer waiter from Ghana. I had told him I was waiting for someone, but after opening my Amap app, I saw that I was quite a ways north of Wuyi Square and the building Vennie worked in. ... and headed toward where we would part ways, Her apartment’s only about 10 minutes away, down an alley from the main Xinmin Road bs stop. I crossed the road and went to a fruit stand where I bought some bananas (but forgot the all important water. It’s not recommended to drink tap water, though boiling makes it safer, but doesn’t remove any possible minerals of chemicals).

I got back to my room so exhausted, I unpacked some ...

So here I sit, about 90 minutes and a short bus ride since I uploaded 2015 blog #2. I'm now on the hour or so bus ride from Lingling to Lengshuitan to catch a train to Changsha. A smartphone isn't the ideal blogging device in my opinion, but I have nothing better to do.

I'm here, now, because Bobby will be in Changsha this weekend for a friend's wedding and because I need to restock my fridge and cupboard ...
