    ...downtown Papeete - and bloody hot!!! despite some cloud cover ( thank g.)...and breeze here at "Mano hotspot" ...price of some eau -190 francs!!...and don't intend to spend much more!! Fr.Polynesia is the most expensive of these pacific islands. Busy port town ...the Oceania (sp?) Marina is berthed right next to us. The dock is set right on "Main Street"!/ waterfront walkway. I don't remember this town at all!!!.. I suspect it has changed since last here in the ...

    ... that our next destination, Moorea, is very close by. In fact, the flight time is certainly the shortest we have ever experienced, seven minutes from tarmac to tarmac! However it then took 1.5 hours to be driven to Hotel Hibiscus in the north west corner of the island.
