... Murano. Despite all the hype, it was a quite ordinary little place although laid-out like Venezia with canals instead of roads.... Had a bit of a wander around and Treas did her usual thing and wasted several,hours of the shopkeeper's time, but I must admit that we did see some amazing glass art. Also enjoyed watching an artisan make various glass pieces using the old-fashioned techniques of furnace and rod and blowing by mouth. ... of 409 bridges!

... my passport dates. Seems I have renewed my passport since my last trip.

The room was exactly as we remembered it. There waiting on the little table, neatly laid with crisp white linen tablecloth, and serviiettes , a fruit crema pastry on a plate with cake forks.

The same stunningly beautiful Murano glass chandelier still adorned the room. The same four poster bed and marble bathroom. We drew back the curtains, admired the views ...

Ah Venezia

... as new was built in the 50s :-D. I imagine most of the construction effort would be maintenance, especially as our guide mentioned they don't demolish buildings here. The walking tour concluded with a gondola ride which was fun and provided a different perspective again of Venice.

We're going to spend some time tomorrow "getting lost" which will hopefully increase the love - we will be steering clear of the Piazza!
