I have a post about when i went to Magaluf a year later and i was a lot worse on that holiday than i was on this one...however i think this one set off my two years of drinking excessively...then again i could have just been at that age when you are learning just how much drink you can handle. In my case being around 5 foot 7 i realised pretty soon my body couldn't handle that much!

... bit of English. Eventually he called me over and said "ah boat people", smiled at his joke, scribbled in my passport and said we could go.... so we did. The Bulgarian side was actually pretty swift but I was glad we had read that we had to buy a road tax sticker because 20km down the road we were stopped by the police for a "vignette" check. A quick look at the sticker and passport and off we went. ...

... blokes looked a bit teary! One gent compared Rich to St Nicholas and it does feel a bit like playing Father Christmas when you go into a darkened room where folk are sleeping and you leave Christmas shoeboxes on their bedside tables for when they wake...

Because the plan was to be anchored off the port of Nessebur all day, we slept in until, well, 7am, but we didn't order breakfast until 8am. It arrived right on schedule, with a manager as well, who just wanted to check in to make sure that we had been happy with our in-room dining service. We have been, so that was fine. We ate breakfast, watched the pilot arrive, and prepared to go ashore. Then the captain came on the PA to announce that the seas were not good ...
