We're still about two weeks or so away from leaving, but the details of putting together this monstrous trip are already pressing on us. Abe has done a terrific job of putting together all the actual stops and reservations for lodging for our trip -- no small feat -- but now we're in the place of deciding what we're going to do where. The devastation of the Civil war was apparent from the many plaques citing the amount of lives lost at each stage of the battles and it was a rather sobering place. After a hearty American breakfast, Bruce & MJ took us on a trip to the north end of the island to the Barnegat lighthouse. It is no longer in operation but still very much an icon of "The Shore"..

Pretty quiet afternoon - most of Bruce & Mary Jrelatives were still here after the wedding yesterday so met them all and we just basically sat around - pretty cold outside today so it was a nice interlude.
