... wind mill and drove around the small village of Xaghra. Leaving this town we returned in the direction of Rabal toward the Cittadella and after several twist and turns we ended up in the town of Santa Lucija, or the town of St. Lucy, the patron saint of those that are visually impaired. The main church was opened and we visited the interior of the church. Very attractive with lots of ornamentation. Not as much gold and silver as St. John’s in Valletta.

... Churchill pub and the town is called Victoria! Even the plugs are British, not European. Luckily I brought my British adapter by accident! Victoria was our longest stop and we were able to walk into the old fortified city of the Citadel. There is a church, shops, lookouts and an old prison. It is the highest point of the island so from the top you can walk around and get a 360 degree view of the island. Very cool views! We also sampled some traditional Maltese pastries ...

... in the mini van, feeling every pot hole and bump in the road. It felt like we were back on the Champs Élysées doing circuits of the Arc de Triumph. Arrived at our hotel at 9pm, shaken but not stirred. Quick change then out again to a wedding reception in St Julian's Bay, about a twenty minute drive. The only issue was the taxi which took forty minutes to arrive. All dressed up and no where to go !!!!!!! ...

... Lady Morgan, a common decoration to his shoulder. If you step into the boat he sleeps on, the Nyx, you will note Charlotte Louise sketches and swords adorning his walls. He is quick to tell far-fetched stories, and truly seems like a modern day pirate.

Later, we approached some tuna farms and saw something jumping out of the waves in the distance. It was a dolphin! Two dolphins! :D Gabriel took this as a good luck omen.
