... wind mill and drove around the small village of Xaghra. Leaving this town we returned in the direction of Rabal toward the Cittadella and after several twist and turns we ended up in the town of Santa Lucija, or the town of St. Lucy, the patron saint of those that are visually impaired. The main church was opened and we visited the interior of the church. Very attractive with lots of ornamentation. Not as much gold and silver as St. John’s in Valletta.

... Churchill pub and the town is called Victoria! Even the plugs are British, not European. Luckily I brought my British adapter by accident! Victoria was our longest stop and we were able to walk into the old fortified city of the Citadel. There is a church, shops, lookouts and an old prison. It is the highest point of the island so from the top you can walk around and get a 360 degree view of the island. Very cool views! We also sampled some traditional Maltese pastries ...

... Charles and Rosabelle's wedding at 10.30pm to a very warm welcome from France and Grace, the parents of the groom. When they heard that we would be in Malta on the same night as the wedding, they insisted that we come no matter what time. The reception was in full swing with dancing and delicious food and drinks.
