He was also dismayed to find that we had just missed an exhibition of Seurat's which closed in early Sept. ... just reopened after ten years of renovations - and saw many of Rembrandts famous paintings, some of Van Goghs, and many other paintings by famous Dutch artists from the 17th century. We visited the flower markets and spent lots of time walking along the little canals and streets, as well as admiring the number of cyclists and bikes parked all along the roads of Amsterdam.
