... nice views over one of the canals. Our room was not ready so we dumped our stuff and walked to the Rijksmuseum a 15 minute walk away. It is worth while getting tickets beforehand in order to avoid any queues. The museum has been under refurbishment for several years so it was the first chance to see it for some time. The last full day of my odyssey was, as so many boxing days around the world, for hanging out with friends, relaxing, eating, drinking and having fun. After a Skype with Mummy and the gang we were off to Cile's new abode, a place next to the old post office, which they will use until their new house is ready to move into. Cile and Hans were our host and other friends ...

    Christmas Day lunch

A travel blog entry by dawn16 on Dec 25, 2012

This morning we went to the local children's farm. There they had goats, sheep, geese, guinea-pigs and of course bunnies. I said hello to the miniature pigs and went in to the cuddle corner where the rabbits and bunnies were. I started picking up the small bunnies and I gave them a nice long cuddle, then it was the turn for the big Flemish giants but they were harder to catch. They wriggled about so in ...
