... the top of the mountain, we pulled over and the guy (never actually got his name!) insisted we hike into the woods. few minutes of slipping on mud and kinda freaking out, we were at the base of the local waterfall. so i glad i didn't turn down his offer. splashed around for a little while and took some pictures. rain started to pour so we headed home. kind of a scary ride because the hills were steep and we were flying. watched the sun set over the fields. the end. ...

We rented a scooter for 24hours from Pai (a long procedure on a Saturday in Pai as there are so many Thai, Chinese and 'falang' tourists trying to do the same thing and one rental agency) in order to visit Mae Hong Son town and its famous long neck people.
