... was Sluis played on perfection, or idealism, as it's main selling point to tourists. A short morning trip from Bruges, or indeed major towns in Holland, certainly make it a popular place. There are no star attractions (perhaps ommitting the windmill) but all the components are there and picturesque.The fact I've wrote most about Sluis despite spending the least time there says it all, a must visit for all staying in East Belgium or West Holland...

... Eventually we noticed signs saying "nord zee" which we assumed means North Sea. But is it the LF1a nordzee route or the LF1b nordzee route? Susan's hypothesis is that they are the same route just in opposite directions. Jimbo's hypothesis is that the a route was direct and the b route was the scenic option. ... Claire solved the mystery of why we can’t find gin in the supermarkets and it is because none of them sell spirits. We have to go to a liquor shop, like our off licence, which is separate to the supermarket. There is a beautiful view from the club overlooking the estuary and we could see the wicked gusts coming from all directions. We would not have liked to be out there is a dinghy.
