... jobs to do that have been on hold whilst we go sailing and enjoying ourselves. When we return with the car we will have Tony and Jean with us for a week’s cruising as a thank you for all their help at home looking after the garden and generally keeping an eye on things for us.

... compared to a train one! There was a double bed with a bunk above (we folded it away), and a king size single with a bunk above.

After going down to deck 9, and exploring all the cafes and facilities, we managed to snaffle a table right at the front (okay bow). Watched the world go by over a couple of drinks, and then watched as we left port. Last year we saw the birth of the Rhine, and this year we went out the mouth.

... Eventually we noticed signs saying "nord zee" which we assumed means North Sea. But is it the LF1a nordzee route or the LF1b nordzee route? Susan's hypothesis is that they are the same route just in opposite directions. Jimbo's hypothesis is that the a route was direct and the b route was the scenic option.
