I am here! NYC It is so amazing to walk down the street full of people and not see one person that looks like me! The diversity is incredible.

The hotel is perfect! Updated, clean, modern, great AC, staff is VERY helpful! I have walked everywhere with little ease! It is right beside a police precinct! Sounds like perfection to me!

We had a nine hour layover in Dubai ...

... Well prepared for stormy weather (T shirts, jeans and baseball caps), we didn’t have much choice but to get wet.
About half way home and completely saturated, we came across a lovely Chinese lady standing in the doorway of her terraced home. Smiling (I guess feeling sorry for us) and chatting away (we couldn’t understand a word), she threw us an umbrella and disappeared inside..
