I guess its about time I posted something about my life in Murcia! I must say, I have been loving every bit of Murcia from the very first day - probably due to the great city itself, some good friends I've made, and a positive and open attitude I came in with. Murcia is a region is SE Spain, neighbors to Alicante and Almerķa. On my bus from Alicante to the center of Murcia, I got a lovely view of the rural region – many ...

... it. Its warmer than the sea and very calm and shallow so its great for swimming in the summer. We also drove past our old house which still looked just the same, even with the same pot sun on the wall! There was a very nice sunset over the mountains in the distance and its a very nice place, even though its very quiet at this time of year. There are fruit trees all over the place and there are lovely views of the sea and mountains.

We are truly in awe of this amazing country, the only negative is there is nowhere along any of the highways where one can stop to take pictures which is such a shame because they seriously have spectacular places to photograph. We are now camped for the night in an orange and lemon orchard with all the mod cons, electricity, WC, showers and the treasured wifi. Thank you Ken for taking us through this amazing spectacular unforgettable route. Valencia here we ...

... or Mother Christmas, even the dogs were dressed up and children. If not in actual outfits or Father Christmas 'onesis', then they were in Red and/or white jumpers, trousers, jackets etc., it was a spectacular sight. Family Groups had BBQ's going or were enjoying picnics. Because the beach loungers were packed away for Winter, everyone had bought their own chairs, tables, umbrellas and ...

From Valencia we went along the coast to Cartagena. We stayed here for few days and got the bus into Cartagena. A nice place, with an interesting history, roman ruins, castles from the Moors. Christmassy feel to it too!

We left Cartagena for the Gulf of Mazaron for Christmas.Landed at Camping Torres where we pitched our van for seven days. Views of the Gulf, a backdrop of mountains, heated swimming pool and sunbathing most days under cloudless skies. I decorated the van ...
