At a Transport Ministry press conference held on September 3, 2009, Mr. Henry was asked to comment on what exactly was being repaired and if such a large amount was truly necessary. He had no comment and stated that he was awaiting word from his lawyers.

While it was not a glamorous mission, what the heck...we were in Jamaica. My rotation was the last of the Task Force and our mission was to clean the equipment and prepare it for transport back thru US Customs to Ohio. We made the most of an otherwise ****** tour of duty.
Kingston, Kingston, Jamaica kzecchini... ago to set up shop at Treasure Beach. Reinhold is a retired engineer and architect (it's obvious that their designer friends helped them decorate) who now spends his days helping Andrea run the hotel and his evenings cooking for guests. Dinner our second evening there consisted of smoked salmon, tomato bisque, mixed green with vinaigrette dressing, coconut curry shrimp/fresh wahoo (fish) and guava ice cream ...
Treasure Beach, Jamaica kimandmartin... couple from the UK and were discussing our meal. They had eaten at Lemongrass, which is the Thai restaurant, and at Feathers, the continental restaurant. These two restaurants require reservations, which we made the night of our arrival (pays to read the message board, as they book up days ahead). They said Feathers was a bit stuffy and the food was overcooked, so we cancelled our reservation for Feathers. We went by the lobby to check on my missing bag, and it was ...
Negril, Jamaica dragon762... aquaduct ruins. We had a great time laying out on the beach, swimming and playing water volleyball. The resort had a lot of different swimming pools, waterslides & a lazy river. One memorable quote from the trip was "It smells like up dog. What's up dog? Not much dog. What's up with you?". Courtesy of Katy Holman. :)
Montego Bay, Jamaica, Jamaica kristencpyle... from the sheer drops and the oncoming traffic coming at you at speed did nothing to inspire confidence! I couldn't even turn around as the road was so narrow so onwards and upwards it was - all the while with the Killers playing on the stereo, some song this the lyrics 'Its a long way down'- freakin me out all the more... I finally got to a place called Irishtown (well there would be one wouldn't there!) and was bemused to see a basketball ring ...
Kingston, Jamaica wardie... back to the room to prepare for dinner. No shorts allowed at Don Pablo, but we're not about to dress up because this ain't one of those kinds of trips. We're just chillin', remember. Dinner at Don Pablo is pretty good. Surf & Turf for Michael, salmon for me. The meals, coupled with the appetizer, first course and wine, leave us totally stuffed. A leisurely stroll finds us following the sounds of reggae music. Back over to the shopping village and ...
Montego Bay, Jamaica globetrotters... Appleton Rum tour on the way back on Sunday and started following the signposts advertising it in Treasure Beach. After we'd been driving for nearly an hour we decided we'd ask a few people how much further it actually was. Turns out if we'd kept going towards it we'd have covered quarter of the island - A bit like advertising The Giant's causeway from Mayo!! God loves a trier! So this week has been really productive so far anyway. I found ...
Treasure Beach, Jamaica wardieThe ride from Kingston to Ocho Rios was harrowing to say the least! Our kind driver Roy took us on the 2.5 hour trek through the narrow one lane streets with no shoulder in the Jamaican mountains (driving on the left of course). He must have known it was a white knuckle ride because he pulled over to a random man with a cooler on the side of the ...
