    Last night we had a fantastic concert by a German singer Valene May. She sang a European song book, songs from 10 countries and in 10 different languages. What an amazing talent. Today we docked in the lovely village of Kitzingen, beautiful cobbled streets and quaint shops and cafes. Sue discovered a great little dress shop and made numerous purchases.     ... base in Ansbach. We had a concert for soldiers and their families while we were there. It was awesome- we got to spend our 4th of July on American soil! Before we left, we were able to get a tour of the air field. Because everything is top secret, we weren't allowed to take pictures of the HUGE planes and Blackhawks we saw there.     ... a very steep ramp, we finally found a footbridge over the stream from the island where we had become stranded and came out only 200m short of the caravan park - a very expensive Knaus Camping park which cost 50% more than anywhere else that we have stayed (apart from the other Knaus park at An Lange on the Elbe).
