Departure day preparations

... We’re now planning to spend November in France where we can speak a little of the language. A couple of great opportunities have come up there that look very exciting. Providing that there are sufficient volunteers, one of the hopes is to erect an eco building in a woodland using local resources. So we won’t be gaining a winter suntan immediately, and the woollen socks will be important!
Alex
The amount of parks and trees showed that they didn't care as much about filling every square inch of the city with houses like back home. They would rather spread wide and leave areas in there city for people to enjoy than create a massive concrete jungle. They also have recycle bins beside every single garbage can that we could find. Every house also has ...

Once I arrived, they gathered all of the students that Ellie and I used to teach in the hall. Then I came in, what a great surprise. They could not believe it and I could not believe how much they had changed. Many of them were taller than me...so many I almost did not recognize. Crazy...Well I spent ...

London Baby!

... at little bar in London called Westminster Arms. Beyer ordered a vodka lemonade and got a small half filled glass of vodka and a LEMON. Culture shock at its best. After two expensive ($20 US dollars) drinks, making myself a little tipsy my first real thought of London is-- Whats up with the blue doors? haha, well its making Beyer and I laugh, which also might be a result of the lack of sleep. But no, I love seeing the blue doors, or anything for that matter that makes London ...
