      At Plitvice we stayed at Guesthouse Andja in a unit with kitchen for kn 285 per night. From here we drove down to Zadar on the coast and spent the night there before getting an early flight to Dublin.

      ... hikers would probably need to change out of their soaking wet clothes when they got back. She assured me that wouldn’t be necessary, but once again I was proved to be right. The first thing this first group did was to retrieve their suitcases off the Bus for a change of clothes, and then used one of the washrooms off the lobby as a “changing room”.

      ... touring around the park because it was too wet for them, so luckily we got their tickets.

      Caught the bus up to the top lake where there were no crowds and it stopped raining for a brief moment. Best part of the day, being able to wander around without sharing the views with hundreds of people.

      Walked down to the bottom lakes and caught the boat across the big lake and walked to the 'Big Waterfall' which from the ground didn't look ...

      We woke up this morning and we knew that the earlier we got to the lakes the better! There was loads of people in the area and they were here for one thing.. The park! So we got up early and checked out the local bus times. The lady at reception was a bit grumpy and said we could get the 10am service bus at the main road! We had 20 mins! So we quickly got packed for the day and headed for the road. So we stopped and private busses went passed us, one bus ...

      ... walking and carrying luggage all over town. It worked well and after an hour or so we had our new black Skoda that looked a little like a BMW from a great distance. As you get closer you notice it is not, and it has no hubcaps. We certainly have had worse vehicles though. Driving in a foreign country is alway exciting.
