    ... We were welcomed, provided with a home made welcome drink and answers to our questions about the lake walks. She also left out a bottle of home made Slivovitz (plum brandy) and another home made liqueur for us to help ourselves to later in the evening. Turned out both liqueurs would be great paint strippers and gave us all the opportunity to pull such great faces depicting fire and disgust!

    ... the entrance and it was here we spent the night enjoying a home cooked meal and listening the silence of the wilderness.

    In the morning we woke to some rather dreary conditions but not to be disheartened we prepared ourselves and headed for a day in the outdoors.

    ... to end... Wrote my blog at dinner but little did I know there'd be further events to be reported.

    I went to the apartment and my key wouldn't work. I remembered scabby fiddled with it a bit when she'd opened it so I just took my time and tried again and again and then I went down to the pub where I saw her earlier to look for her but she wasn't there so I went back and tried again and still wouldn't work so I rung the neighbours door bell to see if they could help but no ...
