... too. We have eaten out every night here as it's quite cheap - usually €10 a head. My diet has mainly consisted of baked aubergine and Greek salad. Oh and ice cream! I feel a bit sick about the amount of ice cream I have had, might have to take a bit of a break on the old cream. There was a shop near us though that sold one scoop for €1.80 and it was honestly the best ice cream I've ever had. So many flavours and all home made! I had white chocolate and passion ...

    The final bit

... Express, a ferry ship whose misguided approach of the bay cost 83 lives 15 years ago. Another option was to go to the shore by dinghy, walk to Naoussa, rent a motor bike and go inform the Yacht services in person. But I felt I could not leave the boat behind and the next rental would probably be a long walk away. We could also ask one of the other boats around us, but then how could they help. Ideas came and went. I thought I should do this more often. The morning ...

It was hot, moist and smelled like fish and perfume. This isn't all bad though. I am guessing that these things are what allow the cruise to have the relatively small price. I guess I'm grumpy today. Don't be grumpy. The crew is ...

... partner, Veseline, joined us for dinner. Yannis drove - crazy, scary drive along a narrow road with hairpin bends. The food was amazing - the parsley dip was my favourite - and the company delightful. We all had a wonderful time. I must find the recipe for the parsley dip when I get back. On the way back, Yannis stopped at the Church of Anastasis (Redeemer) on the Vrondado hill to take in the views of Syros and Ano Syros at night. A wonderful day which ended with a fabulous meal at ...

... The Montasary happened to be located at the top of the highest peak - or at least it seemed that way! We must have taken over 500 stairs to get up there! It was very beautiful and the church was open so we could go in and take pictures. Coming backdown we shomhow managed to take a wrong turn ending up getting lost in and around all the tiny hillside streets for close to 40 minutes!! We walked up and then down, then around, then up and up and up! We ended ...
