... salmon tartare and I had a ceasar salad with two huge anchovie filets reclining immodestly across it. We both had steak that was cooked to perfection and so big neither of us could finish. Great service and lovely food.

By 9:00 it seemed almost balmy outside so we took a little walk (Annette’s Misfit shows we walked 3.4 miles today) and then felt so proud of it we went to the Garden Café for soft serve ice cream.

Can’t wait for ...

... br> Lunch: Goode’s Barbecue for Texas style barbecue (brisket). Yum-yum! Brisket, cole slaw, Texas toast with jalapeños, and beans. Jim had pinto beans with jalapeños while Barbara had Austin style baked beans (beans, pork belly, pieces of brisket, red bell peppers, onions and apples-what a surprise). Both were delicious.

Next we thought we’d shop at the Galleria Mall. Big mistake! ...

... more southern accents on the streets and at breakfast which was Mexican, and spend part of the morning traversing the streets in the Mustang with the top down. ... going to take a week to fix! We considered going back to square one and shopping around for another but anything in this sort of mileage and this late model was twice the price, so we have started to organise the repairs and should get away tomorrow with out a toilet and sort it out later sick of this city!

we are sleeping at the motor home yard their must be 60+ lanes of traffic within 100 meters of us!
