... with some people who live in west Texas, and she was saying that they had to catch a flight to Dallas, then connect to a flight to Abilene, then drive for 2 hours to get home. Yuck! Made our day seem so much easier. And carrying our own bags was not that big of a deal, although Rich did carry my 2nd bag for me, he's such a sweetie! :))

... Houston, we nervously pulled into to the consulate at around 12:15 and tried to get in. We were immediately stopped by security guards, who informed us that the consulate closed at 12:30. Holding back fits of anger and vomit, Brian asked the guard what she meant by "closed" because the website clearly stated that they were open until 5:00 PM. She informed us that they closed for lunch and at 2:30 they would start taking emergency visa applications.
