Now, a bit of "heart-breaking" news from Paris. :-(
Earlier in our trip, April 3rd to be exact, this blog made reference to the famous Pont des Arts pedestrian bridge being totally covered with padlocks, which are placed on the railings by couples as a token of their affection for each other. Well, it seems that yesterday the weight of these "lovelocks" caused a section of railing to collapse under the weight of all that love!
When I say Paris in my head I like to think it sounds like "Paree" but in real life I know it sounds awfully Australian and sadly (for the poor French who have to hear me) very uncultured. Ro took so many photos, we stopped off for a while on the second floor before making our way all to the way to the top.
