Travel Blogs from Paris
Today was a self proclaimed day off. Last night the four of us met our friend Kathrine who lives here in Paris. She is originally from Oregon and moved to Paris 9 years ago. She works as a language consultant for large corporations. We met at a restaurant on the southern end of Paris at 8:00 pm. We found ourselves on the Metro heading home around 2:00 am. Not natural for geezers from St George. It was a wonderful evening with plenty of ...
... families start to head home.
Before we did likewise, we decided to walk round the (rather large) block which includes Les Invalides and the Army Museum. Some of the views are attached to today's blog.

The metro: I’ve absolutely fallen in love with the Paris metro. I like everything about the Paris Metro - the network of trains, the huge airy oval cross-sectioned stations, the tiled frames of the advertisement hoardings, the history, ...

Best way to see the city - Cafe du Paix, Opera, Notre Dame, Louvre, Champs Elysee, and back to the Tour d'Eiffel. The tour was fun and we settled for an hour and then we are heading to the Latin Quarter for dinner. Tomorrow we leave Paris from Gare de l'est heading for Metz and then on to ...
... de Mars. We are dinner around eight o clock at a nearby restaurant. We love how all the restaurants are open to the street and part of the dining experience is watching the people going by.
We are now back in our hotel resting from our busy Parisian day. Tomorrow we plan on heading to Versailles which was one of Jamie and my favourite places to see when we came here two years ago.
