Goodbye Kate

Dan: Saying goodbye to Kate was **** but we only had 2weekls apart. But i have 2 weeks with Hoggy and Sydney, it was gonna be good and it is. We checked out the Opera House (gotta be done, kinda hard to miss aswell) Had a cruise around the harbor and went to the Zoo, our hostel is fantastic. It';s pretty basic but everyone is so aweomse, our Aussie guy looking after us, Dave, is a legend. He would only come out and get drunk with us if I let him draw a moustache on me, i had a pretty *****in'...

Leaving soon

Michelle and I went to Darwin after we left Katherine, and stayed enough time for me to have a couple of beers with my good mate Fabrice who I hadn't seen since mid-October, and for him to show Michelle and myself around a bit of Darwin. I wish I could have stayed longer because it was absolutely beautiful, and oh, so warm, which I'm really missing now. We spent that night in Kakadu national park and viewed all the aboriginal cave paintings the next morning. In Cairns , we stayed with some go...

Back in Sydney

I've sat at this computer before... I've smelt the smells of Linda's pastas before... and I've heard the traffic along William Street outside before as well. I'm back in Sydney. I'm only here for about five days, though. From the time I left Mudgee, until the time I arrived here this afternoon, heaps of things have happened. Well, maybe not too many, but I sure have had lots of fun. After leaving bright and early from Mudgee (well, actually around noonish) I was on the road to a place called ...

Back in Sydney!

I had 4 days in Sydney before my flight to Oz and I was determined to make it the cheapest 4 days possible! I was staying in a hostel which cost $15 a night and it was slightly scabby. Was in a 10 bed dorm which had lots of windows but no curtains and the window by me bed was permenantly open. Luckily it wasnt too cold - it was nice autumnal weather for a few days and then it turned rainy! I met up with Sophie and Lisa and we hung out the first day I was there. We went to see the Opera House ...

Sydney Airport

At check in I realised I had forgotten that being a vego is weird and hadn't requested vego meals on any of my flights when I booked my tickets.  Luckily for me, on this flight they can do me a meal because they hadn't called through the meal order yet.  Pays to check in crazy early!  Time to buy some ****** magazines and get set for a long flight!

2 years....no way long enough!

... round with the air in the tyres. There is also a lovely creek flowing into the sea where we snorkeled at high tide and there were loads of fish. It was lovely heading upstream and then just floating back down with the current and unlike Red Rock you didn't have to battle too hard to get out. There were some nice bush walks around, especially the Korogoro Trail which is a 5km walk around the headland, we did it one morning and the ...

... its lovely with restaurants over looking the water! then we decided to go look around down near Circular Quay where the Opera House and Harbour Bridge are.... Felt a little like New York streets! The views there are amazing and loko so surreal! Caught the boat over to Manly Beach, really nice ride looking back over Sydney! Beach is savage, nice shops and just baked for the day! went out again Saturday night and this time decided to go explore another side of town, walked ...
