... a large Cesar salad, while Jude had a ham flan, although the menu claimed it was a pie, but still good none the less.
Back on the road we fuelled up the Citroen at Vaxjo. That along with lunch and the bakery stop suggest Sweden is dearer than Denmark.
We had plenty of time to do the last 100 kms, so we selected the "shortest" rote to Eksjo off the Sat. Nav. That soon took us off Highway 23 onto a "yellow" road - similar to any tarmac rural road in NZ, although ...

... that morning. We enjoyed our drink in the hush of the forest.

We now see farms with huge red barns, churches with a more spare but solid look and cattle out in the fields.

Jonkoping was cold and wet as well, but we managed a walk around town. Unfortunately for the locals their Music Festival was a bit of a wash out. Out door seating at ...

... houses warm... Don and I have had the loveliest time in the dining car where miniature bottles of Merlot and large bottles of Czech beer are sold at a very reasonable price. Again the service is amazing and the scenery and setting from another world...loving this train travel across Europe already. Even the toilets are better than any airplane toilet...that's another story! Awaiting our stop for Malmo soon. The whole of Sweden is just a revisit of the Ikea catalogue ...
