... see.... it scared me when the little girl on the bell started moving, and so too did the man as he hit the bell with a hammer lol. The tombs were amazing, but it was a little spooky as a Chinese/Danish man started playing the organ while we were walking around. We left the church and went back into the car (which was thank goodness much warmer than the 1C it was outside). As we drove back to Helsinør I marvelled at the rain which had turned from water to "sludge" to a very light ...
Helsingør, Denmark reneedm... express the King's wealth. So when the first trip was to be held on the ship they sailed for about 20 minutes before it capsized and sank. 20 minutes! That's it! And now there is a whole museum dedicated to this famous ship in Stokholm. It was interesting in the beginning, but after spending about 3 hours at a museum with only one big ship in it, it got kind of boring. But after the museum I tried the famous olympic sport of curling! It was so much fun! We all split up in teams and ...

Copenhagen, Zealand, Denmark dhrycun... train, so we joined the stampede to the cafeteria and duty free shop. Much liqueur was bought by the passengers--I understand the taxes are especially high on the necessities of life in Scandinavia. I had the French Hotdog Menu, which of course came with French Hotdog Sauce, kind of a oniony mayonnaise. Kaliope bought a can of Dutch licorice, with the candies in the shapes of modes of transportation. Of course ...
Copenhagen, Zealand, Denmark davy_gam... that saw him find us a hostel from the local tourist office, somewhere I had failed to realise might actually find us accommodation, despite the name. At first glance the hostel was the cheapest of the trip so far, but, by the time a glut of unexpected charges had been added, it became the most expensive. Still, it was a bed for the night and that was the main thing. Time was getting on by this point, so we drank our ...
Copenhagen, Zealand, Denmark stephen.turner... hot, I was sweating, this whole thing sucked. Karla had a pretty good thing figured for herself. She had captured a broken middle seat and was able then to spread across to the other middle seat so she at least was almost horizontal most of the night. I would pay 200 euro for a bed right now, anything to get horizontal and have some good rest. I left the room and went two cabin's down. There were lots of bags in there, but no people. I laid down across the seats and got comfortable ...
Copenhagen, Zealand, Denmark tbassplayer... raining. As far as I was concerned, it made no sense going on. I had already packed and yet had an afternoon flight to London ahead of me, so I couldn't afford to get wet without time and opportunity to get dry afterwards. So I just hid from the rain and when it let up somewhat, I went back to Adolph Steens Allé to pick up my things. I took again the fast 250S line and started towards the Kastrup airport. It was my farewell to København. For this time.
Copenhagen, Denmark the_wayfarer... burnt and twisted shopping trolleys, smashed shop windows and buildings decorated with paint balloons. If you are keen to brush up on your Danish news re: all this stuff check out www.ungeren.dk P.S. Do not fear for my limbs and life concerned readers as the activists are only violent towards police and vice versa and vandalism is (fairly) limited to Banks, Supermarkets and McDonalds's (or so it would seem). Both Tom and Maj talk about the situation ...
Copenhagen, Denmark lordcoolOn Saturday morning we set out for Copenhagen. We started off with some shopping for Inka in the a town just out side of Copenhagen. On the way back, we took small roads along the sea side, and saw many beautiful old homes, ride on the sea. It seemed like an absolutely beautiful place to live. We reached Copenhagen, just as the weather started getting bad and the rain had set in. We walked around the old town and enjoyed the old buildings and the walking streets, in ...
Copenhagen, Denmark mrewkowski... was? It was relatively amusing however. They even attempted to sell me some of their innovative music via speaking to me in Swedish. Unfortunately for them I had only picked up a few words in Danish like thank you, plate, and money, so they were asking the wrong person. I will never forget my day trip to Sweden, for though I saw many a beautiful building, I can never erase the image of potentially Cherokee peoples dancing in the streets to techno trash. Tack själv Sweden!
