While we were in Radium Hot Springs we signed up for a White Water Rafting adventure on the Kicking Horse River with Kootenay River Runners. This is a world class rafting river with multiple class 4 rapids in the lower canyon.

We got up extra early this morning and left for a big day of sightseeing. We started at Lake Louise. We had skipped Lake Louise when we were in Banff a week ago, because the crowds were so bad. Lake Louise is actually just across the border (in Banff National Park, Alberta) from Yoho National Park in British Columbia. By getting to the lake early morning, we beat the crowds. ... Cummins service center. We could drive the five minutes to get there without overheating the engine. It is Saturday afternoon, but they were open and took us at 2:30. After getting the hose replaced along with 12 liters of anti-freeze, we came back to the campground, poured a drink, and crashed.

We had planned to do a little sightseeing in Yoho this afternoon, but that will have to wait until tomorrow.

Hey everyone!!! Well Chris and I have been here for nearly 4 days now, and I've finally got round to creating a blog! Here goes!... The flight to Canada was pretty smooth, although we had a 4 hour stop over in Chicago which added on to the time of our journey. Finally arriving in Calgary at 21.00ish Canadian time. ... day off tomorrow but am working at the Liquor Store in a few minutes. So it works out that in the 31 days after May 8th, I will have had two full days off only. Two days out of 31. ... that they think the Norwalk virus is to blame for all this crazy sickness. It's an intestinal virus. I won't go into a description, but it's not pretty. Who knows if that's it or not? Therefore we are washing our hands plenty, sanitizing and bleaching surfaces in the office so as not to spread any germs. Lovely isn't it? I and haven't been sick yet, so I really hope I don't catch it. Just got word another co-worker is sick now. Oi ...

... we noticed that the hostel's staff had taken the initiative of packing our stuff....we found it in the front lobby, talk about a surprise. So I guess the check out time was 11am, oops! Caught the bus back to Saskatoon around 5pm. All in all the trip was a great success! Banff was awesome, and mountains were beautiful. We greatly improved our snow ploughing skills! Our sweet 14hr bus ride back to Saskatoon was very spacey! Next step...study like mad for finals! Until Next Time...
