As we didn't want to take Frankie too high into the alps, we chose a campsite at Lausanne on Lake Geneva. It is known as Lac Leman by the locals. The first day we went to the lake to have a look. The water was clear, blue and very clean. Apparently it has not always been like it and in the 1960's it was too polluted to swim in. When you stay ...

... to check it out. It was nice inside, but once out, we started looking around for signs of St Jacques as I knew this place was on the Camino trail, and it wasn't long before we were on the trail and heading out of the city !!! Realising that it was best to turn back, beer o'clock beckoned and we found a bar and relived the day !!!

The next morning, we packed up and made our way back to the airport, and now we only have 52 more weeks to go !!!

... room price) and our room on the 5th floor which was very comfortable and cozy. We unpacked and headed out to have a quick look around. Shops close at 7pm, so we didn’t get to the supermarket, but there was a mini supermarket close by so we bought some water and snacks and drinks there. Already we could see that Switzerland was as we remembered, expensive! But wow, the old town centre area is amazing! Very hilly and with lovely little laneways ...
