Who would've thought a 20 minute boat ride and we are in France ! We went from Lausanne over to Evian , where Evian water was first produced. A lovely old town set on a hill on the edge of Lake Lucerne. So quiet and peaceful, but it is the middle of a Winter and this area is booming in the Summer, not the Winter ! ... said it is quiet as out of season and some hotels close. Late afternoon we caught a train to Montreaux where Sarah is living. the trains are very clean and bang on time. Our hotel is beautiful. Built in 1890 it has lots of lovely architecture and lovely antique furniture . Sarah is planning our itinerary for tomorrow's sight seeing ! Watch this space ...
