    ... challenges getting around. I am glad we had a mix of both this trip. They did the golden ticket to Pilatus and said it took all day but was great. We also compared shock on prices for way to eat cheap! They also went to festival which was fun but they said they noticed tourists were being charged for food etc more than locals. Their son was studying. Abroad in Verona and they used that as an excuse along with high school ...

    ... able to look down on clouds over other mountains. We braved the ice flier which takes you over the glacier for a good kilometre - it sat 6 just like a chair lift. Then over the suspension bridge before entering the ice cave. Quite amazing and no one tried to see how cold the ice was with their tongue! Then time for lunch and ......... Ashleigh finally had chicken schnitzel!!!Scott and the girls then tried to build a snowman but the snow as too hard.Coming back down ...

    ... Main Street a bit difficult to look at, while driving past. Arrive at camp after driving along one of the forks of Lake Lucerne. Our friends Helen and Werner arrived to collect us for the highlight of the day. They had been host parents for Mark when on his AFS exchange year to Switzerland in 2004.     ... Then when we ordered tea, we asked for Lasagna, offered to pay with a card but didn't accept cards so had to pay with euros again and got Swiss Francs change. Then when the meals turned up we had spring rolls and cous cous instead. Still,pretty nice and we got a free hot chocolate because she had mucked up our order. A bit of an adventure really.

    Today we went to Pilatus. This was an optional extra and we decided that it sounded worthwhile. We started at 9am and did a tour of Zurich. Then back to the hotel before heading to Pilatus. Well dressed in our thermals as we could see the snow on the mountains. Pilatus is 7200 feet above sea level. We had to take two separate cable cars to get to the top. Up above the clouds we went.
