... Maori for NZ and the South African anthem and a song in Chinese, and Waltzing Matilda. There was also a flag throwing demonstration where the twirl and toss a flag to music. Great fun and everyone got into the singing and clapping. Anita loved it.

The tour group next to us was 20 people from all over Australia on a 28 day European tour with Cosmos. They had been on the road for 10 days and were travelling by bus. They had already done London, Amsterdam, Paris ...

... Monument. This is basically a huge area of rock where glaciers have carved all kinds of cool swirling shapes into the rocks.

That was pretty interesting, but we all had the most fun making fun of ourselves in the mirror gardens and trying to work our way through the mirror maze. We'd be lying if we said we didn't laugh a little at the kids who smacked into the mirrors & started crying when going through the maze. It was funny!!

... some new words) to the car drop off. All worked out OK and we had a safe journey into another country via two high speed trains.

We arrived in Lucerne in the late afternoon with some rain also making the walk to the accommodation a bit more interesting. Scuttled past the lake and several angry looking swans were also not happy with the weather.

Out for tea to a local restaurant for a good feed before tomorrows adventure begins!

... of families and we sat and listened to loud conversations of what seemed to be Swiss, German, French & Brits all chatting around us. Haha talk about multi-cultural! Whilst watching a big flat screen TV above our heads, of the Timbersports championships in Interlaken in Austria and getting excited at the Aussies winning!! Always feel more patriotic when you are away from home, even though it was a repeat from 2014!

... ago we were floating in the Dead Sea below sea level. This is a ski resort and it was a mazing seeing the slopes crisscrossed with ski marks, outside the official groomed ski runs.

  • Tired but happy we headed home around 5pm only to be out again in the evening for a traditional Swiss dinner and folklore evening. Of course there was cheese fondue to start followed by mixed salad, strips of veal in mushroom sauce with potato rosti and meringue strawberry ice cream in the ...
