At last we think we have figured out this trip. We will leave Buffalo and head to Barcelona for a few days. Then we will get ourselves to London for our flight to Mumbai. After a short while in Mumbai we are heading south to Panaji, Old Goa and the coast where we will spend considerable time. About a month or so later it's back to London ...
Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada smyth... holiday weekend. It took us approx 30 mins to line up and get a body pat down to enter the gates. Everyone was not happy and many said they had never seen it that bad. Must have know the 2 Aussies were coming today!
The game was pretty cool and exciting up till the last 3 and a half mins. Buffalo won the game but still a great day to see Miami in action. Next time I see them will be in Miami tho as ...
... impressed with the whole setup. She was expecting to drive to the middle of no-where to see some water fall down but the fact that it was so close to the city and just a normal way of life for the locals was something else.
After checking out the USA side we drove to the Canadian side. Border crossing was a lengthy but nice to get across and not rejected like some attempts.
The initial viewing of the falls was by car and ...
The falls were falling all right - especially when illuminated with changing lights at night. Las-Vegas-By-The-Falls (a.k.a Niagara Falls town) was a bit of a surprise - definitely an American import, but Canadian version was somewhat less boring and tasteless than original US one
... the fly to the tent the sky opened up... in a big way. It poured, and poured and poured some more- until the gods were satisfied with the how soggy everything had gotten (the firewood and inside of the tent included). It turns out that the seams of Adam's tent are less than waterproof. Armed with some duct tape and trash bags, Adam used his supreme ingenuity to save us from a super soaked first night (what a ...
Evangola State Park, New York, United States sarah.scampini... was at a small local park because it was still relatively quiet at that hour. I got to take many breathtaking photos without worrying about tourists standing in my way and ruining it. Unfortunately my digital camera is dead to the world and I had to use throw away cameras, so I don't have any pictures of the falls online YET. I'm hoping that I can bring them to a 1 hour photo place tomorrow while I'm at the mall. I did the world famous "Maid of the Mist" Tour that Niagara is ...
Niagara Falls, New York, United States amandafdt... to the residents of Buffalo, Clark decided this was not going to be the way they were going to get there. It appeared to be a main drag through the middle of downtown Buffalo, so we decided to turn around. We took the next right which brought us into a typical neighborhood in downtown Buffalo, NY. Once again, you would have thought a space ship had landed. The droves of people that came out of their homes and stood in awe of the ...

By 9,500 years ago a deciduous forest apparently covered southernmost Ontario. This forest supported the hunter-gatherers of the Archaic Period (9,000 to 3,000 years ago) with a diet of deer, moose, fish and plants. Small groups hunted in the winter, feeding on nuts and animals attracted to the forest. Larger groups came ...
Niagara Falls, New York, United States azgar4u... the snow off her so she doesn't freeze. We get lots of good photos here and walk off goat island toward the border. The view is a little better but its starting to feel cold now. The temp is still around -7 and colder when the wind blows. We take a few more photos and head back to the hotel. We have been out for at least an hour. Its 10:30 when we get back and I still have heaps of energy. The hotel would look much better with a snow man ...
Niagara Falls, New York, United States simon.kayess... Christine just broke up with her boyfriend. Eight years. Her other friends were all sad and careful around her. And all I could say was - I'm so excited for you! I'm proud and I'm excited. Luckily she is too. **Now if I only I could get my hands on the song "I'm Free" for us - It's been in my head on and off since South America. iTunes has the live version which is close enough to tease me, but not good enough for me to spend the 99 cents on ...
