... I carved my first pumpkin and wore a tutu which I have also never done before. And yes, it was scary! But we had enormous fun and the kids were sooo excited about it all. Sam and Zoe have bought a house there now, so Alan was kept busy fixing all those little things that are needed when you have your own place. He loves going to hardware stores at any time but American hardware stores have a special fascination and he was happy to ...

      ... does not).

Tyler the researcher found us a great restaurant called The Winery for dinner that night. It was an indoor/outdoor place with great lighting and an even better wine list. Once again, we loved a meal in Sydney. We were beginning to really wonder how we could relocate here at some point. Parents, don’t worry. It’s not happening in the next year or anything but it is on our radar for sure. Plus, it would be so fun to visit!

Day 4 - Reckon and the Sydney Opera House

... colder and windier. Aria was the restaurant that came highly recommended by the concierge at the Four Seasons to eat at before attending the opera. The meal was probably the fanciest I’ve ever had, and I couldn’t say for sure that I didn’t eat some sort of testicle. Although the atmosphere was very nice and a good way to prepare for a night at the opera, I would probably recommend a different restaurant for those (myself included) who ...
