    Next was the Esplanade Tanjung Api, a beautiful docking area for local fishermen and site of a fishing village. We were able to take some great photos of local fishing boats. We noticed a strange formation of leaves on a nearby tree, which was explained as a nesting area for tailor or weaver ants, who make nests by using larval silk to weld the large leaves together.     ... won't be too difficult I announced. This clearly was an underestimation as one the map was not to scale and two I am used to long walks. So they went in flip flops and myself trainers. We set off from the Mutiari resort (very posh) along a tranquil path on what we estimated was a 6km walk.     And back on to a bus for the heat of the day.
    Decided on the bus to KL that I was a bit washed out, and instead of moving along immediately to Indonesia I would take a day off to sleep myself out and generally vegetate.
    Must have needed it, I was asleep by 7.30, woke at 4am, and added 4 hours after that.

    ... and reading and drinking at Don’t Tell Mamas. The food is good, but the beer is expensive and so we decide to try out Zen’s cocktails, served in huge jars. BLIMEY!
