    ... Figuera da Foz. Quite a cool little beach town that seemed very set up for tourists. There was some kind of huge stage on the beach and it looked as though a festival was being set up, we found out the hard way that the festival started the next day...all through the night cars arrived and filled up the car park that we were parked up in, people were starting to party already and were honking horns and all sorts of nonsense. It consists of a singer, or singers, and an ensemble of guitarists which includes a mandolin type instrument which is unique to Portugal, the Portugese guitar. Rowling was creating Harry Potter at Hogwarts. Interestingly to clean the books a lift system beneath the library releases bats to remove the bugs that destroy old books.

    Water park-200 meters up the road was the most pathetic water park for 8 you will ever see, but it entertained us for several hours, unfortunately Megan became too quick and nearly fell out but the concussion may not last too long!

    Hair braiding- off to town to find those, usually, African ladies who braid your hair in under an hour, something that would take a sub-human 4 hours to do! ...
