... Lake - cool enough to break out the beanies and gloves but warming up, was followed by views from the top of Signal Mountain. Having mountains with little if any foothills makes the lakes quite spectacular. Coffee and home-made blackberry pie at Signal Mountain Lodge on the shores of Jackson Lake meant we could delay dinner and take advantage of the fine weather. Next stop - the marshy area at Oxbow Bend to check out some of the birdlife ...

... meant at least 3 more miles until home. The park road turns left onto our property via a dead end road, I sprinted the whole way back. I think that my lungs expanded from the rapid elevation change yesterday on Jackson peak.

After I got home I walked around to cool off and took a shower. I went out to Teton Thai with Rob and Will, then Will and I shopped for groceries ...

... and the Tetons were covered with clouds. We stopped at a visitor center and watched a movie about the park. It was pretty laid back but what else would we do on a rainy day? We went to a sushi place for dinner and, with no reservation, ate at the bar. Nice to have something besides steak and buffalo for a change!
