... Caribbean day, so we walked next door to a bike shop and rented 2 bikes from Ixa, a hilarious woman who loves to bike and has a poodle named Kitty (as is, "here Kitty Kitty...."). She told us of a lovely beach, Boca del Drago, about 9 miles away, through the jungle, on the opposite side of Bocas del Toro island. So we set off!

We immediately noticed the difference between the Caribbean side of Panama and the central regions- a lot of Jamaican people were dropped off here en route to becoming slaves in North America, so there's a lot more Jamaican and Caribbean influences in the music, food, and people.
