Mountain to the Sea

... It only had one bedroom apartment available but after a long day travelling it was fine rather than searching round the town for somewhere to stay.

A quick walk round town later led us to a place over the water, called Raw, that served Japanese food. Given that we were on an island, we figured it ought to have fresh fish so in we went. We had some sushi and ceviche which was surprisingly good despite the weird sounding 'house speciality' of tempura battered sushi. ...

Panama: Bocas del Toro Delight!

... and my phone with this dodge scribble of our details and travel plans. BANG BANG…. rang the sound of a stamp into both of our passports. Frustration abound, but with smiles on our faces, we were on our way!

We loaded into the bus, I mean 5 seater cab, oh forgot to mention that there were 5 passengers squeezed into the cab… Ohh so glorious this ride was…. WHAT THE? Anyways, a while later we arrive at the port, zip across the water and make it ...

... grow on us and we really started to enjoy it after making friends with a few of the locals. We have become fans of Caribbean cooking from the first bite and once we were shown a few of the local eateries there has been no looking back! Fried chicken and plantains for $2 each, you can't go wrong! Another favourite are their fresh fish breakfasts, the lady in the kitchen laughs when she see's us come in every morning asking for the same thing!

Next stop is Costa Rica.
